Tyke 1 2-0 on the road
The Tyke 1 Lightning completed their weekend, with a 5-0 win over Shelburne
December 7 found the Lightning away for the second game of the weekend, facing the Shelburne Wolves #1. Aidan Ritchie made his second start in as many games and was a wall at the Lightning end, stopping Shelburne time and time again on the way to his first shutout.
Jake Murray opened the scoring half way through the first period, slipping the puck over the shoulder of a sprawling Shelburne net minder on a rebound from a Jaden Slowiak attempt. Murray would go on to record several more over the course of the game.
Strong defense broke up many opposing scoring chance before they became a threat and all players excelled at getting the play out of their end and down the ice. Good passing and offensive awareness lead to many scoring chances that caused the Shelburne net minder to make several spectacular saves, robbing several Lightning players of the chance to get on the board.
