The Georgian
Shores Novice Rep Lightning scored five first period goals and never looked
back en route to a 9-0 win over the visiting Collingwood Blackhawks on
Saturday.
For the Novice Reps, it was their third straight win in Georgian Bay Minor Hockey League play.
Travis Brown scored four goals and added an assist, Jaren Pirie had three goals and one assist and Quinton Letourneau and Austin Maxwell each added singles for the Lightning.
Goaltender Carter Green earned his third shutout of the campaign while forwards Dylan McFadden (2), Nathan Mead (2) and Justin Acres also chipped in with helpers.
A pair of high-scoring teams will clash in Meaford on Tuesday night when the Wasaga Beach Stars (5-1) pay a visit to the Novice Reps (4-1). Puck drop at the Meaford & St. Vincent Community Centre is slated for 7 p.m.
