Midget Division
The decision was made at the Georgian Shores executive
meeting this week to go ahead with just 1 Midget team.
This team will be entered in the Rep division but we have asked that based on past results and the loss of some players to A and AAA the team be allowed to play in the B division of Georgian Bay league play. We are fairly confident that this request will be granted so that would mean the team would be facing teams from Flesherton, Dundalk and Creemore instead of Oro, Midland and Collingwood’s major team.
The team has a full 19 registered with 17 skaters and 2 goalies. The number may seem large but with players having jobs, getting injuries or suspensions and also the high school pursuits program it means there should still be adequate players to field a team for all games.
The registration for this division has gone to a waiting list only and anyone trying to register from now on will be put on a waiting list and only given the opportunity to play if someone who is registered decides not to play.
