Hello Lightning Families!
We will be celebrating Hockey Day in Georgian Shores on Sat Dec 3. Every team will be on the ice starting at 8am and finishing with our U18 team at 7:25pm. There are lots of fun things planned to make the day an extra special day for all of our players and their families.
We will be collecting food for the local Food Banks, running a 50/50, and giving each player the chance to be outfitted with Georgian Shores gear! There will also be some games and treats running for a donation.
Looking forward to celebrating Small Town Hockey on the 3rd with everyone!

Hello Everyone,
Georgian Shores is hosting their first annual Hockey Day in Georgian Shores on Dec 3 rd , 2022.
First game starts at 8am with the last game at 7:25pm. Our hope is to provide the kids with an
awesome day filled with lots of hockey, games and treats.
Teams – Players will be announced as they skate onto the ice for warmup. After the 3 minute
warmup, players will lineup on the blue lines for the singing of the National Anthem. We will
then shake hands and begin the game.
Coaches- It will be your responsibility to line up the team in order with the game sheet. They
will be announced one at a time. We will only be using 1 door for ice entrance. This is a regular
season scheduled game so you will still need to bring your team IPad, money for timekeepers
and refs.
Food Bank Drive- Please bring a non-perishable food item in lieu of admission. All proceeds
from games and treats will be donated to the local food bank as well.
Admission- No admission fees BUT please bring non-perishable food items for the local food
bank.
50/50 Raffle - There will be a 50/50 raffle. Tickets are 3 for $5.00 Draw to take place at 7:30pm.
Winning ticket will be called.
GS Players – Each player will receive 1 ticket for the Georgian Shores gear raffle. This will
include a personalized light weight jacket and toque. Two winning tickets will be drawn.
Additional tickets will be for purchase at $2/each or 3 for $5.
Events for Life- Will be running the arena canteen with a wide variety of healthy cold and hot
food items. The food is fantastic!!
Volunteering - We need volunteers to run the ticket sales and games. Please help provide this
fun day for our kids by volunteering some of your time. See below for link
