Successful Mike Hammond Memorial Tournament Wraps Up!

The spirit of the game was alive and well this past weekend as we concluded another successful Mike Hammond Memorial Tournament. Mike Hammond was a true hockey fan who dedicated countless hours to the sport in many different ways throughout the years. This annual tournament allows Georgian Shores Minor Hockey to continue honouring Mike’s legacy while giving our U11 to U18 Local League players a hard-fought shot at the legendary title belt.

The competition was fierce across all divisions. A huge congratulations to the following teams:

U15: Dorchester Dragons
U18: North Middlesex Jr. Stars

A Team Effort Behind the Scenes

A tournament of this scale doesn't happen without an incredible support system. Special thanks go to our Tournament Director, Patrick Strutt, for his tireless work coordinating the logistics behind the scenes, and to both Patrick and Jason Bouwman for their dedication at the rink all weekend long.

Our Tournament Fundraising Committee also did an outstanding job, raising vital funds to support our home teams and beautifully showcasing the generosity of our local community.
