 Atom Reps Win and Lose

On January 2nd, the Georgian Shores Atom team travelled to the Bayshore in Owen Sound to play against the Attack team for their 3rd game of the season.  Each team with a win, this was a tie breaker, and no one wanted to walk away the looser. The first period was a very tight game with neither team getting a goal. Both goalies saw a lot of rubber but managed to keep the biscuit out of their pipes. In the top of the second, Nolan Foster, Hayden Samson and Andrew Pilon finally got the Shores their first goal after a lot many shots the Attack Goalie couldn't keep his eye on the puck and Nolan finally knocked it in. Less than a minute later, Hayden got a break and scored unassisted giving the Bolts a 2 point lead. With 3 minutes remaining, the Attack came back and got their first goal.  Goalie Nick Keily managed to hang on in the 3rd period and stopped many shots, playing his best game of the season and the Bolt's took home the win.

Then, on January 3rd, the Georgian Shores Lightning welcomed the Honeywood Hurricanes to their ice. Honeywood had control of the puck for most of the game, not allowing the Shores to get many shots on their net. With a 6-0 lead into the 3rd period and 1 minute remaining on the clock, Andrew finally got his team on the score board with an assist from Luke Bell and the Shores taking a big loss of 6-1. With 2 games remaining, the regular season is coming to an end and the play offs will begin in a few weeks.
