It was worth the
trip to Shelburne on Sunday afternoon for the Georgian Shores Novice Rep
Lightning.
Jaren Pirie scored
five goals and Nathan Mead and Quinton Letourneau each tallied once to help
lift the Novice Reps to a convincing 7-1 road win over the Shelburne Wolves.
Travis Brown (2), Denon Taylor (2), Cameron Samson, Logan Burnham and Letourneau contributed the assists. Goaltender Carter Green was stellar between the pipes for the Lightning, who improved their record to 2-1 in Georgian Bay Minor Hockey League action. The Novice Reps travel to Wiarton this weekend to participate in the Austin Holley Memorial Fall Shoot-Out Tournament. The Lightning open round-robin play against the Shallow Lake Lakers at 11:15 a.m.
